The Ceramic Studio team have all returned back to work from an enjoyable break. On behalf of the team and I, we hope that you had an equally pleasant break over Christmas and New Years. We are all looking forward to the year ahead. I am particularly excited about 2012 because of the significant industry advancements afoot which will change the way we operate.
Of these is BruxZir® Solid Zirconia. I am amazed at how many requests we have had for the material over the past couple of months. I never doubted that it would soon become a common industry name but I am impressed to find that news of its attributes has seemed to have spread like wildfire in Australia. Will BruxZir® be the new gold crown?
I am excited about the IPS e.max Press Multi ingots (featured image) which are soon to hit the Australian market. Ivoclar inform that they are the first polychromatic ingots for the press technology. I believe that this advancement will only contribute to what is already an amazing product as far as aesthetics are concerned.
I am also pleased to see that digital dentistry is taking off across the country. I feel that the technology has a lot to offer for patients, dentists and technicians alike and believe it to be a real step forward for our industry.
